SURABAYA - Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) Surabaya State University (Unesa) presenting international speakers in guest lecture Sports Management System "on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the U1 Building Shanghai University, China, which describes the evolution, strategy, and sports governance system in his country which is claimed to be one of the most advanced in the world.
In his presentation, he reviewed the transformation of the sports system in China from 1949 to the present, ranging from a centralistic system that is very dependent on the country, towards a more open and modern market -based system.
"This change is inseparable from the political, economic and social encouragement that is interrelated in strengthening the sports industry," he said.
He said one of the significant achievements was the growth of the Chinese sports industry value from 1.7 trillion cny or yuan in 2015 to 3.7 trillions of cny in 2023. Drastically, with young people as the main consumers.
"We focus on developing sports culture among the younger generation. Not only for achievement, but also for health and active lifestyle," he added.
