Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Sendratasik Theater Student Activities Community (KKM), Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) held the 2023 National Student Theater Festival (FTPMN) which was attended by 154 participants from various universities at the Sawunggaling Building, Lidah Campus Wetan, Monday 04/12/23.
This festival, which is held once a year, carries the theme "Funworld: Express Your Happiness in The Art Competition to Create Thousands of Magical Shows". This activity aims to strengthen the artistic creativity of Indonesian students.
Sendratasik lecturer, Autar Abdillah, S.Sn., M.Si., was present as a jury who also opened the FTPMN event. He expressed his thanks to all parties who made this agenda a success. Without hard work, this national level event would not have been able to be held well.
He said that student theater was still standing tall, and student theater was still critical and showing its strong presence. "With theater, we can create new atmospheres, new ideas, new thoughts, then with theater we become human," he said.

FTPMN is a forum for young artists from the archipelago to show creative ideas and solidarity in their work. "FTPMN can be the first gateway for students who later want to develop their knowledge in the Sendratasik study program. This competition certificate can be used as a portfolio when entering the Sendratasik study program," he said.
One of the participants, Rachmad Samudera, Director of Theater Lingkar, from Brawijaya University said that its team brought to the stage the monologue 'Lavinal' which tells the story of the Kanjuruhan tragedy so that it does not escape people's memories.
"We as students voice that through this taeter. Apart from that, it is also to hone our skills, expand our network together friends from other theaters throughout Indonesia," he said.
For your information, FTPMN 2023 consists of three types of competitions. The first is a monologue competition for students which will take place on Monday-Tuesday, 04-05 December 2023, which will be attended by 154 participants. They are divided into 8 teams. Each team consists of 18 people from various campuses.
Secondly, the theater competition was attended by 345 high school students from all over Indonesia. They are divided into 23 teams. Each team consists of 15 people. This competition will take place on Wednesday-Saturday, 6-9 December 2023. Third, the elementary-middle school mime competition will take place online on Sunday, 3 December 2023. Participants consist of 10 teams. []
