The declaration, part of the 2025 Ramadan Festive Market (Rame) agenda, was made in collaboration with various institutions and agencies present, including PCNU and LPNU, the East Java Provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
Additionally, the event also included participation from the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Bank Indonesia, the Business Startup Development and Incubation Agency (BPBRIN) of Airlangga University (Unair), Bank Jatim Syariah, and others.
The Dean of FKP Unesa, Nining Widyah Kusnanik, stated that this declaration represents a commitment to establishing a movement for affordable food that is easily accessible to the community. The movement symbolizes the synergy between institutions in strengthening food security among society.
“This synergy demonstrates the commitment of FKP Unesa in supporting the government's program to achieve food security and accelerate food self-sufficiency,” said the professor from Unesa.
The Chairman of LPNU Surabaya City, Imam Bashori, remarked that this movement is a concrete step in addressing food security challenges amidst global uncertainties.
“Food security is not solely the responsibility of the government but requires synergy from various elements of society to ensure food prices remain stable and affordable,” he stated.
The Head of the East Java Industry and Trade Department, Iwan, emphasized that his office continues to encourage policies that support the distribution of affordable and quality food.
“We ensure the stability of food supply so that the community is not burdened by price hikes. With initiatives like the 2025 Festive Market (Pasar Rame), people can obtain food at more affordable prices,” he noted. [*]
