Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) is expanding its network of foreign cooperation in education development and quality improvement on a global scale, one of which is with the Asean Foundation. A Memorandum of Understanding or MoU was signed by two parties virtually via Zoom, on Tuesday (2/16/2021).
The scope of the cooperation covers several programs and fields, such as the promotion program of universities to ten ASEAN countries, scholarship capacity building programs and summer courses for students and lecturers of UNESA and other universities in ten ASEAN countries, and cooperation in the implementation of conferences, webinars and workshops.
In addition, expert sharing programs in various fields to contribute to activities in Unesa as well as in ten other ASEAN countries. This cooperation will be implemented over the next year.
"We believe that the cooperation between UNESA and asean foundation is a strong commitment in realizing a better generation of Unesa and Indonesia and global competitiveness" said Dr. Yang Mee Eng, Excecutive Director asean foundation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd. as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and its ranks and Dr. Yang Mee Eng, as Excecutive Director of Asean Foundation, Asrori, S.S., M.Pd., and the team.
In his speech, Bambang Yulianto hoped that through cooperation between Unesa and asean foundation can make a big contribution and have a good impact on improving the quality of higher education, not only for Unesa but also ten other ASEAN countries.
