Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA In order to improve student achievement, the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS), State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held a 'Project Independent and Student Research' workshop on Friday (10/06/2022) at the Auditorium of Building T14, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
The resource persons who attended the event were Yetty Septiani Mustar, S.KM., M.P.H. and Ali Imron, S.Sos., M.A. In his opening remarks, Syafi'ul Anam, Ph.D., said that this activity is very much needed by students and can have an impact on students in the future. "The resulting outcome can be competed in national-international competitions, it is even better to get a champion," he said.
In the presentation session on independent project materials, Yetty Septiani explained that there are 4 divisions of competitions that are usually carried out, namely educational digital innovation, educational digital video, digital poster, and digital microteaching. "We can learn from things that already exist, such as the teacher's room, zenius, or others so that we gain insight, analyze problems and create spectacular ideas. You are the next generation of the nation, the millennial generation, you can definitely do it," he said.

While on student research materials, Ali Imron explained the importance of research for students and the benefits that will be obtained. "Students as agents of change must have critical thinking about a problem that exists in society and must master the ability to research. Students who like to research must have a lot of achievements and students who have many achievements are easy to get scholarships, for example PPA," he said.
At the end of the session, Ali Imron said that knowledge should not be enjoyed alone, but must be shared so that it is beneficial for all. "I am an outstanding lecturer, so my students must excel as well. This is the century of collaboration to create innovation. It's time to learn and discuss, innovate and achieve together to benefit others," he said. [UNESA PR]
