Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-As the status transitions to PTN-BH, the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) is intensively realizing the integrity zone area towards a corruption-free area (WBK) and a clean and serving bureaucratic area (WBBM). As part of this effort, Kemendikbudristek and UNESA held a Focus Group Discussion on the Integrity Zone on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the 11th Floor Auditorium of the Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
The Kemendikbudristek staff were present in this activity as resource persons. They are Dr. Chatarina Muliana, SH., S.E., M.H, Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Masrul Latif, S.IP., M.Sc., Inspector IV and the team of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
UNESA Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M. Kes., said that the proposed faculty represented UNESA for the integrity zone, namely the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law. He added that the integrity zone is not just a predicate, but must actually become a shared commitment that is manifested in the performance of a better, cleaner and innovative institutional system in serving.

“Integrity is not only in concept, but also in action and behavior. We have to show that to make the institutional system at UNESA even better, more advanced and more accomplished. In this case, we ask for guidance from the Ministry of Education and Culture," he said.
Chatarina Muliana said that UNESA is currently moving towards PTN-BH. Therefore, part of the commitment to get there is to realize WBK and WBBM. "This predicate is certainly not just a formality, but as part of our commitment to building a better and more advanced organizational culture or institution," he said.
Meanwhile, Masrul Latif on that occasion appreciated the steps of the 'Champions Campus', especially the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law which has advanced to become a zone of integrity. “After FISH, other faculties can also follow. Actually, this integrity zone is a custom that should be carried out by every government agency, whether it has a title or not," he explained.
The FGD was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni, the Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation and the dean of UNESA.
