
Unesa Rector Cak Hasan along with the leadership participated in breakfast with students at the opening of the Nutritious Breakfast program at Unesa Campus 5 Magetan.
Unesa.ac.id. MAGETAN�Apart from the Surabaya campus, the 'Home of Champions' campus also started a nutritious breakfast program at Unesa Campus 5 Magetan on Monday, January 6 2025. As planned, the nutritious breakfast is part of the government's Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) trial will last for the next three days or until January 9 2025.
There are around 1,500 breakfast packages prepared every day for students taking final semester exams or UAS on morning session. The menu is varied with a balanced nutritional composition. There is rice, side dishes, vegetables, fresh vegetables and liquid milk.
The opening of the nutritious breakfast program at Unesa Campus 5 Magetan was attended by the Chancellor of Unesa, Nurhasan or Cak Hasan along with the leadership and related work units, including the Director of Unesa Campus 5 Magetan or PSDKU Magetan, Sarmini and his staff.

The opening of this program created a moment of togetherness and warmth between the leadership and students who had breakfast together while having light conversations about lectures.
"This activity is our commitment to support and implement the dreams of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government, namely the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, " said the Chancellor of Unesa, Cak Hasan.
He added that the government's MBG program which started running on January 6 2025, is targeting students, pregnant women and toddlers in stages, therefore Unesa is taking one step ahead in initiating this program for students.
"This government program is gradual and sustainable, that's why we are testing it first for students. During the trial period we carry out monitoring and evaluation which can later become a recommendation for the government," said the sports science professor.

Director of Unesa Campus 5 Magetan or PSDKU Magetan, Sarmini added, this nutritious breakfast program aims to support students' balanced nutritional intake and academic activities, as well as encouraging economic development in the surrounding community.
"When you have breakfast, so students can be more enthusiastic and "focusing on the exam with the hope that their exam results can be maximized. Of course this is also to stimulate the local economy, because we are collaborating with local micro, small and medium businesses or MSMEs and using materials from Magetan residents," he said.
One of the Magetan MSME products included in the nutritious breakfast package is liquid milk which is facilitated by the Magetan Regency Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Service through a sustainable collaboration and synergy scheme.
"Synergy of Unesa Campus 5 Magetan and the Animal Husbandry and "The development of Magetan Regency fisheries in the future is focused on increasing protein needs, especially for young children," concluded the Magetan-born Unesa professor.[*]
