Haymond, on Wednesday (6/18). This visit became part of a diplomatic agenda in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and the United States in the fields of education, cultural exchange, and youth development.
Ambassador Haymond accompanied by the US Consul General in Surabaya, Mr. Chris Green, as well as a number of diplomats from the US Consulate General in Surabaya. This visit was Mr. Haymond outside Jakarta since it started serving as the leader of the United States mission in Indonesia on June 15, 2025.
Delegation was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS) of UNESA, Syafi'ul Anam, Ph.D., along with the ranks of the Faculty Leaders, the Coordinator of the English Education Study Program and English Literature, as well as the implementing team of the Surabaya Access Site Program. The event took place at the T14 FBS Unesa Building, in a warm, interactive, and full of enthusiasm. The participants actively discussed with a delegation about the importance of mastery of English, 21st century skills, and cultural diplomacy.
