Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Hobbies are sometimes different from the study programs chosen in college. However, it does not become an obstacle in achieving achievement. The Prophet Fathonah proved that. In the competition, Rasul Fathonah competed with dozens of other participants who came from various major Indonesian campuses. , such as UB and UGM.
There are 3 sub-themes in the competition; conservation, education and technology. In the choice of sub-theme, he chose the sub-theme of conservation with the title 'Mangrove Forest'. "Hopefully, through this poster, the public or the audience can better protect and understand the importance of mangrove forests for marine ecosystems and can preserve mangrove forests," he hoped.
The idea started from the condition of the mangrove forest which he said needed to be developed. "The development of mangroves must be supported by public awareness about the environment, tourism and ecosystems. From there, the initial idea was more towards inviting the audience to be environmentally aware," he said.
The making of the posters took approximately 3 days, because they were still looking for more in-depth information about the conservation of mangrove forests. For the application to create the poster using one application, Canva.
In addition to the environmental competition poster competition, Rasul Fathonah has also won a study program level poster competition held by the Deutscher Cup UNESA and won 1st place with the theme of health on 20 – 23 September 2021.
He has the motivation that he will accept whatever the result is as long as it is his own effort, losing or winning is normal. "And from the start I didn't expect to win the championship, but the initial goal was to join the competition to practice the abilities I had," he said. [Unesa Public Relations]
