Unesa.ac.id. MAGETAN—Surabaya State University (UNESA) Campus 5 Magetan held a series of male and female elections which entered the grand final on Wednesday, December 11 2024. The activity, which was attended by UNESA leadership and officials, took place in the lobby of Campus 5 Magetan.
Director of the Study Program Outside the Main Campus (PSDKU) or UNESA Campus 5 Magetan, Sarmini said that the selection of boys and girls was a forum for students to explore their talents and interests them.Apart from that, it is also to foster a spirit of competition and achievement, so that students can become ambassadors who are able to synergize with related agencies in various fields, including research and community service.
“Process 523 students took part in the male and female selection. This is extraordinary enthusiasm. "Hopefully this will become a habit that ignites enthusiasm for all of us," he said.
Leaders, officials and the community were present to witness the Grand Final of the UNESA Men's and Women's Election for Campus 5 Magetan.
Vice Chancellor for Law, Management , Finance, Resources and Business, Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri fully supports this agenda, because it is in line with the spirit of developing the young generation who are capable of becoming agents of change in the future.
"The selection of boys and girls is not just a competition, but a journey to determine the best ambassadors who will present the face of the campus and the surrounding community," said the professor of curriculum development.
UNESA Chancellor, Nurhasan or Cak Hasan appreciated this activity, even providing additional prizes in the form of laptops for the finalists. "It is not easy to take part in this selection, it requires courage and skill. Even being able to unite the first generation of students, this event also provides values of excellence and pride as a UNESA student," he said.
The Chair of the UNESA DWP handed over awards to the male and female winners of UNESA Campus 5 Magetan.
The determination round involving 10 finalists was assessed by a jury consisting of the Chairperson of the UNESA Dharma Wanita Association (DWP), Endah Purnomowati Nurhasan; Ali Imron, UNESA Fisipol lecturer; Jauhar Wahyuni, Paguyuban supervisor Fisipol Ambassador 2024 and top 10 Indonesian Tourism Ambassador 2010 and Ismy Latifaty.
This event presents a parade of the top 10 finalists who amaze the audience with their confidence and vision as representatives of the institution. After a series of performances and rigorous assessments, the main winner and each category are then determined.
There are categories ambassador for education and literacy, ambassador for health and stunting eradication, ambassador for tourism and culture, and ambassador for anti-sexual violence and gender mainstreaming.
The highest honor is given to the main winner of the men and women of UNESA Campus 5 Magetan 2024, namely Putra Inzimam and Putri Nayla. In this way, they have the responsibility to bring the good name of the institution on various occasions.[*]
