Unesa .ac.id Surabaya - Unesa String Quartet won a silver medal in the 2019 EUROASIA String Competition in Kuala Lumpul Malaysia. In addition to Unesa who represented Indonesia there were a number of participants from other countries such as Spain Japan Singapore the Philippines China Korea Thailand as well as the host of Malaysia. the jury but the Unesa String Quartet team must recognize the superiority of the Malaysian host team who have prepared everything thoroughly.
Obtaining a value of 80 Ensemble Di Attaca and Symphonic Maters from Malaysia won the gold medal. While Unesa String Quartet scored 70 and was entitled to a silver medal. For the bronze medal won by Fairview PYP Tio from Singapore.
Before launching to Malaysia to join the competition Unesa String Quartet held a pre-competition concert to increase its confidence before competing with other countries.
Unesa Tring Quartet Team itself consists of Yudha Tri Pamungkas MP (Violin I) Adi William Raharja (Violin II) Jamiatul Sholikhah (Viola) and Wildany Mafazatin Nailiyah (Cello). They are assisted by Harpang Yudha Karyawanto S.Pd M.Pd (Viola) Tomy Agung Sugito S.Pd M.Pd (Violin) Marda Putra Mahendra S.Pd M.Pd (Cello) and Moh Sarjoko S.Sn M.Pd (Conductor).
According to Harpang Yudha his team had very little preparation. The exercise is carried out twice a day in one full month. Yudha also hopes for the next event in 2020 to prepare as well as possible both the material details and team cohesiveness. (why)
