Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA - The State University of Surabaya (UNESA) once again won first place in the Health Promotion University program organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. There are 4 main programs carried out by Unesa namely No Violence Bullying and Sexual Harassment (NOVIBUSH), Green Environment and Disabled Friendly Initiative (GERI), Comprehensive Campus Physical Activity Program (CCPAP), and Unesa One-Stop Caring (UNOSCA).
In an interview session with Indra Himawan Susanto, S.Or., M.Kes., as the Unesa program development division on Tuesday (28/12/2021) said the University is a higher education institution that also has an important role in efforts to improve health and welfare.
Therefore, adopting from the ASEAN University Network (AUN) text related to Healthy University, Unesa participates in supporting and strengthening the national health system through community empowerment on campus by holding program instruments between Unesa HPU and the Indonesian Ministry of Health in developing Healthy Campuses in Indonesia.
The program, which has been implemented since August 2021, actively involves students with the selection of finalists for healthy campus ambassadors called HPU Rangers. In addition to students, the HPU program also involves the HPU Team, Campus Partners, and the entire Unesa academic community in order to create a healthy campus at Unesa.
"Unesa is interested in participating in mentoring to create a healthy campus through sustainable and independent management of the HPU program in an effort to improve the health and welfare of all Unesa civitas," added Indra.
In the future, through this assistance, HPU Unesa can also get input, support and solutions in program implementation. In addition, this assistance can also expand the relationship between the HPU team and HPU activists at other universities which can facilitate cooperative relations between universities in the success of the process of realizing a healthy campus. "Hopefully in the future HPU Unesa can be applied in all faculties and as a program to create a healthy campus," said Indra. (Nov)
