Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Universitas Negeri Surabaya signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yayasan Sekolah Al-Qur'an Sunanul Muhtadin, Gresik on Wednesday (7/4/2021). The event was held on the sidelines of the event "Public Discussion; Countering radicalism movement in higher education" is located on the 11th Floor rectorate Unesa Lidah Wetan.
The signing of a memorandum of understanding between Rector Unesa Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes and the Board of Trustees of the Muhtadin Al-Qur'an School Foundation, KH. Muhammad Sunan Hamli was witnessed directly by the Vice Rectors of Unesa and their ranks, the speakers of public discussions and thousands of participants who participated directly and virtually.
The MoU is a form of commitment of cooperation between two parties in developing and improving the quality of the implementation of education and learning in pesantren under the auspices of the Sunanul Muhtadin Al-Qur'an School Foundation. The form of cooperation is such as providing full assistance specifically in the development of learning, curriculum, and in the form of learning facilities and infrastructure.
"Through this MoU, the cooperation of Unesa and Yayasan Sekolah Al-Qur'an Sunanul Muhtadin is more concrete and directed to encourage the birth of innovations in education and learning in pesantren so that it becomes a superior and quality modern pesantren," said the man commonly called Cak Hasan.
Meanwhile, Dr. H. Jazilul Fawaid, S.Q., M.A., Vice Chairman of mpr RI and as the head of the Foundation said that the cooperation was to develop educational institutions in pesantren as a whole by integrating between religious understanding and modern capabilities.
According to him, Unesa as a campus where the birth of qualified and superior teachers can certainly provide a strong energy for pesantren in giving birth to graduates with intact Indonesian character, intact religion and love of the whole homeland. "In addition, also to give birth to graduates who have the ability and competence that suits the demands of this century," concluded the man who is also called Gus Jazilul. (Pr. Unesa)
