Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—The 79th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia at Surabaya State University (UNESA) was marked by the breaking of two MURI (Indonesian World Records Museum), at the Rectorate Field, UNESA Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya, on Saturday, 17 August 2024.
First, a record as a university that created the most posters based on artificial intelligence and other information technology, with 632 posters involving students. Second, the record as a university with MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) partners with the most certified halal products with a total of 160.
UNESA Chancellor, Nurhasan or Cak Hasan said that this record is a manifestation of the spirit of independence, one of which is in the form of mutual cooperation or collaboration of the entire community to continue to provide the best for the community, nation and state.
According to him, this record is part of the commitment and efforts of the 'Home of Champions' campus in filling Independence Day with achievements that have an impact on the institution and society, as well as being the most beautiful gift for UNESA's 60th Anniversary.
UNESA leadership shows a record of achievements and real contributions to society.
"All "This will not be realized and achieved without the commitment and contribution of the entire UNESA community. Hopefully this will be a motivation to always take UNESA one step forward," said the sports science professor.
Apart from MURI, UNESA's prestigious achievement which was also appreciated at the momentum of the Indonesian independence celebration was that UNESA won 1st place in the national IKU. This award felt special for Cak Hasan, because getting it was full of challenges and through tough competition with other PTNBH campuses in the 'elephant' category.
These various achievements are a strong motivation for UNESA to strengthen its role and contribution in society, including in preparing superior human resources, supporting the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045. One way to realize this vision is through MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) .
"UNESA continues to transform through optimization and innovation of MBKM programs as a platform to equip students with the competencies needed now and in the future. The hope is that in 2045, UNESA graduates will also color Indonesia Gold," he stressed .
Meanwhile, Yusuf Ngadri from MURI said that UNESA's achievements at MURI were countless. He appreciated these records, such as the record for making posters involving students, for example, which was not only a form of collaboration and innovation, but also as a means of encouraging the spirit of creativity and innovation in celebrating the Republic of Indonesia's independence day.
Apart from that, there are also records related to MSMEs which of course have an impact on the economic development of society, especially in East Java. UNESA's role together with the East Java Provincial Government is to develop MSMEs to produce this product which is a record.
Mohammad Ghofirin, Strengthening and Development team of One Pesantren One Product (OPOP), added that MURI regarding MSME partners is the result of implementing collaboration between UNESA and the East Java OPOP team. This collaboration is intended so that MSMEs can advance to class through a continuous mentoring process with the UNESA team. This assistance covers eighteen aspects, including managerial, accounting, digital business, nutrition, including language aspects.
The Chancellor of UNESA, together with representatives from MURI, OPOP East Java and OPD East Java gave a press statement after the ceremony.
"Because What, the orientation is export, if MSMEs do not understand English, then they will have difficulty collaborating in correspondence with foreign parties. We who are overseeing the OPOP program initiated by the Governor of East Java (2019-2024) Indar Parawansa give our highest appreciation to UNESA. " he said.
The Independence Day commemoration ceremony was attended by all levels of leadership and members of the UNESA community who attended wearing traditional clothing from various regions. An atmosphere of diversity colors the sacred activity entitled "New Archipelago, Advanced Indonesia" on the 'One Step Ahead" campus.[]
