Unesa held an online campus cultural introduction program on Saturday (03/10/2020). This activity aims to make Permata Sakti Program students get to know the culture in the Unesa campus environment. The program opened by Dr. Budi Purwoko, S.Pd., M.Pd, as the Head of Planning and Cooperation, presented two keynote speakers. They are Khofidotur Rofiah, S.Pd, M.Pd and Kartika Rinakit Adhe, S.Pd, M.Pd.
In her presentation, Kartika Rinakit Adhe said that being part of Unesa means we must have not just teacher-centered, but also student-centered paradigm. In addition, we must also have a balanced self-management, unyielding spirit, carrying out our role seriously and have effective communication.
"Unesa is also excellent in the fields of sports, arts and disability services," she said.
Agreeing with the previous speaker, Khofidotur Rofiah explained Unesa's flagship program, Signalong Indonesia. This program pays special attention to persons with disabilities. Currently, Signalong Unesa has also developed and produced Covid-19 prevention stories for children with disabilities.
"Unesa as a campus provider of the Special Needs Service Unit for Children that is providing intervention services for people with disabilities, is the only one in Indonesia," she explained.
This activity was opened with a video showing profiles of East Java and Unesa. This video screening was able to attract the attention of the Permata Sakti program students. Evidently, many students asked various questions about life on the Unesa campus and places that have become Surabaya icons. (public relations/sir)
