The opening of the 2nd Exhibition Innovation Product was attended by a number of university representatives in East Java.
Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Many technology-based creative and innovative breakthroughs have been produced by universities. The products and works of these community members must be introduced to the public. For this reason, UNESA through the Directorate of Innovation Rankings and Scientific Publications (IPPI) is holding the 2nd Exhibition Innovation Product at the Atrium of the City of Tomorrow (Cito), Surabaya, Saturday, 02 November 2024.
This exhibition carries the theme "Innovating Today, Building Tomorrow, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship for a Suitable Future." UNESA professor and person in charge of the event, Endang Susantini, said that this exhibition was the second event, after the first one was held at the UNESA Rectorate some time ago.
"However, this time we are expanding the scale by presenting 40 innovation booths. We are collaborating with seven universities in East Java," he said.
One of the booths innovation demonstrates how superior products work in the exhibition.
The woman who is familiarly called Prof Endang said that the products displayed in this exhibition were mostly the result of the Kedaireka Matching Fund Program.
Also, academic community innovation, one of which is from the UNESA Center for Excellence in Science and Technology (PUI), hopes that the products on display can have a positive and sustainable impact on society.The Director of UNESA IPPI, Nadi Suprapto, emphasized the importance of innovation as a path forward. recognition at national and international levels. For him, innovation is the key to progress.
"This proves UNESA's achievements in being ranked first in the PTNBH IKU League. "We want to continue to show that we are able to compete with other leading universities," he stressed.
The FMIPA professor continued, the field of innovation developed at UNESA covers almost all aspects, starting from campus excellence such as sports, arts and disabilities, to education and technology.

It's not enough just to create innovation , his party also encourages these products to be downstream, so that they are truly used in the wider community.
One of the superior innovations that attracted attention at the exhibition was the LINCAH application, designed by Alfina Diva Pratiwi.
LINCAH is a technology-based application for training footwork in the sport of badminton, with a focus on agility and physical reactions of athletes.
“This application is designed for use on an iPad or smartphone. "There is a feature that allows users to choose training programs based on ability level, such as automatic mode, manual mode, interval settings, and training duration," explained Alfina.
UNESA's booth, one of which showcases the LINCAH application in the sports sector.
Even more sophisticated, this application can connect with Polar devices via Bluetooth connection, which can monitor athlete's heart rate in real-time. With this feature, training in the field, both indoors and outdoors, becomes more effective and efficient.
This innovation festival is a valuable momentum, not only for UNESA, but also for all universities involved, to introduce innovation which has a broad impact on society.
The universities collaborating in this exhibition include; Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Airlangga University (Unair), East Java Veterans National Development University (UPNV Jatim).
Apart from that, there are also Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (Uinsa), Petra Christian University, Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (Unusa), and PGRI Adi Buana University.[*]
