Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA— The implementation of the XI National Education Convention (Konaspi) 2024 is just a matter of days away. Various preparations were carried out by Surabaya State University (UNESA), including a focus group discussion or FGD finalizing delegation data at the Grand Mercure Mirama Hotel Surabaya on Tuesday, September 17 2024.
On the ongoing agenda at the Grand Mercure Mirama Hotel Surabaya, the Deputy Chancellor for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs, Madlazim emphasized the importance of Konaspi activities as a form of commitment by the Indonesian State Education Personnel Educator Institute (LPTKNI) in producing quality human resources, especially in the field of education.
"This time Konaspi is committed to jointly advancing education in Indonesia, the results of which we will hand over to the new national leaders," said the Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA).Then Education quality issues, he added, are still a serious concern that is often highlighted on the agenda. Such as teacher welfare, equal distribution of education, improving the quality of education, and others that need to be considered together.
More information about the process of organizing Konaspi XI was conveyed directly by the Chief Executive of Konaspi XI UNESA, Binar Kurnia Prahani. He said that according to plan, Konaspi XI UNESA will take place on 8-10 October 2024. Later it will be enlivened by educational exhibitions, city tours, gala dinners and sports recreation. came from various universities in the country. "UNESA as the host has completed preparations from various aspects, so we hope that this convention will not only be memorable, but will also have an impact on improving the quality of our education," he said.
There are various important issues that will be discussed with the national higher education delegation at this convention. One of the outcomes is in the form of recommendations for strengthening Indonesian education.
As for universities Universities involved in this educational convention are Semarang State University (UNNES), Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Malang State University (UM) and Indonesian Education University (UPI).
Apart from that, Medan State University (Unimed), Jakarta State University (UNJ), Gorontalo State University (UNG), Makassar State University (UNM). Padang State University (UNP), and Manado State University (Unima).
Other technical matters were also discussed further in this FGD regarding follow-up preparations, event arrangements, accommodation, and other themes that will be brought up during implementation.
"In Konaspi this time we will prepare a policy document formulated in the form of a declaration text by 12 LPTKNI in order to maintain the quality of education in Indonesia, such as curriculum, human resources, PPG, accreditation, P3K, and teacher welfare," he explained .
This FGD was attended by the leadership of the 'House of Champions' campus, and all levels of related work units at the university, faculty and study program level.
In addition, the Indonesian National Education Convention is held every two years. The determination of UNESA as the host of Konaspi XI 2024 is the result of a joint decision of all university delegations at Konaspi
The year 2024 is the momentum for the transition of the national development relay towards Indonesia EMAS (Era of a Just and Prosperous Society) 2045.
