Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-In the implementation of the Merdeka Learning program, universities are required to meet the main performance indicators (KPI) which consist of eight aspects of assessment. To measure these performance indicators, the team from the Directorate General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and Technology and the Surabaya State University (UNESA) discussed the evaluation of the PTN IKU on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 on the 8th Floor of the Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
Yayat Hendayana, Coordinator of Public Relations and Cooperation, Directorate General of Higher Education, Kemendikbudristek said that in general the UNESA IKU was good. Apart from that, he also excels in IKU 2. Many of his students gain off-campus experience through various programs with domestic and foreign partners. UNESA must maintain the superior KPI while improving other KPIs, especially the uptake of graduates in the world of work or IKU 1. Therefore, one thing that can be done is optimizing tracer studies to track the distribution of alumni in the world of work.

In addition, the quality of lecturers must also continue to be improved. Lecturers who have not S-3 should be encouraged to continue doctoral studies and encourage them to do research and innovation as well as publication in reputable journals. According to Yayat, each PTN has different targets for achieving KPIs. For example in the PTN-BH indicator, for the percentage of S-1 and diploma graduates who managed to get a job, continue their studies or become an entrepreneur with sufficient income of 80 percent and on the PTN-BLU indicator both in the academic, vocational, and cultural fields, the percentage is the same as 80 percent, while at PTN-SatKer (Work Unit) the percentage is 55 percent in the academic, vocational, and cultural fields.
The performance contract-based funding includes 3 main components, namely the main performance indicators and targets, the calculation of KPI achievements and the point system, as well as the division of leagues and the calculation of the BOPTN bonus. UNESA obtained the results of the PTN-BLU League with a total score of 75, a total growth score of 149, and no total score reduction. UNESA received the best 2022 PTN IKU excellence bonus award at KPI 2 of 43-44 percent. The total number of documents in collaboration with UNESA is 3,576 documents.
In relation to KPI 6, the criteria are multinational companies, high standard national companies, global technology companies, technology start-up companies, world-class non-profit organizations, multilateral institutions/organizations, universities that are included in the QS100 list based on knowledge QS100 by subject , BUMN and/or BUMD government agencies, hospitals, and also MSMEs.
At the meeting, Yayat Hendayana was accompanied by Firman Hidayat as the Sub-Coordinator of Cooperation of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Kemendikbudristek.
