Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA—The State University of Surabaya (UNESA) continues to expand and strengthen cooperation with various partners. Most recently, the campus with the motto 'Growing with Character' signed a collaboration with the East Java Regional Police. The cooperation agreement was signed by UNESA Deputy Chancellor IV and the East Java Regional Police Chief at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters, on Friday, October 4 2024.
UNESA Deputy Chancellor IV for Planning, Development, Cooperation and Information and Communication Technology, Martadi said, This collaboration is a form of UNESA's commitment together with the East Java Regional Police to strengthen the human resource capacity of police officers in East Java.
The UNESA education expert added that this collaboration is a strategic collaboration in encouraging the strengthening of the role and function of the police in society. He appreciated the steps and commitment of the East Java Regional Police which paid great attention to the HR aspect.

“Like We know that when an institution, society, or even a country wants to progress, the key is human resources. Because it is an important condition for progress. "With this collaboration, we are ready to fully support the East Java Regional Police's HR capacity strengthening program," he said.
East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police. Imam Sugianto, said that this collaboration aims to increase the capacity of young police personnel who wish to continue their education at college level. Apart from UNESA, the party also collaborates with two other campuses, Muhammadiyah University of Malang, and University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya (Untag).
According to him, this is part of the human resource investment in the police environment which is very important for the future. The target of this investment is for the next 5 to 10 years, where it is hoped that the personnel will have a mature and correct mindset in serving and protecting the community.
The Regional Police Chief believes that personnel have the capacity to think well and correctly, can make the right decisions and bring goodness when carrying out their duties in society.
He continued, this collaboration is not only to improve the academic abilities of police officers, but also to encourage strengthening research, innovation and service in the police sector.[*]
