UNESA.ac.id. , SURABAYA - Educational and Culture (Atdikbud) of the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra and Surabaya State University (Unesa) sharing about the acceptance of auxiliary teachers in Australian schools and book review "Teaching Practice in Australia" at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, Unesa Campus 2 Tongue Wetan on Friday, 14 February 2025.
In his remarks, Dwi Cahyo Kartiko, Deputy Rector IV Unesa conveyed about the needs of teachers in Australia which is an opportunity for Unesa to teach and develop experience.
"In addition to opportunities for lecturers, of course for graduate teachers and Unesa students. This opportunity needs to be answered well because this concerns the interests of institutions and the state, "he said.
Asrori, Director of International Affairs UNESA , saying that the amount of Australian citizens' interest in Indonesian culture was the main reason for the presence of a helping teacher program there.
This program can be converted to MBKM (Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus) in the PLP (Introduction to the Introduction to School of Schools).
"Currently there are 620 schools that teach Indonesian subjects in Australia, But the majority of these schools do not have Indonesian native speakers, "he explained.
For this reason, UNESA cooperation And the Atdikbud of the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra by cooperating with the language body needs to be realized. The Indonesian Embassy in Canberra and the recipient school will provide homes for students.
Atdikbud of the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Mukhamad Najib stressed that this program will provide experience and understanding of different education systems and can become a bridge to increase the internationalization of Indonesian in Australia.
"Book 'Teaching Practice In Australia 'was written by 29 people who had been a helpful teacher. This book contains teaching experience stories such as teaching approaches, time management, even mental health , "he added.
