FBS new students undergo FBS-style PKKMB
Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—The PKKMB moment is a moment that new students look forward to making it an unforgettable experience during college. This is also what the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) Surabaya State University (UNESA) does to make an impression on its new students.
Asmaraloka, the name for PKKMB FBS, created an official flashmob composed by seniors themselves to welcome new students for the 2024 academic year. Carrying the diversity of arts and culture at FBS, this flashmob brings enthusiasm to new students to move together to carve out the future.
This was conveyed by Enji as the chief executive of Asmaraloka 2024. According to him, by creating This official flash mob will make a special impression on the minds of new students.

"In "The lyrics 'Asmaraloka, where we meet to build dreams and aspirations', that is our hope as a family, making Asmaraloka a place to start dreams," he said.
As expected, Diyah Wulandari, A new student from the Bachelor of Javanese Language and Literature Education Study Program admitted that he could not forget the excitement of having a flashmob with his friends.
"The tune is not foreign, so it always resonates and makes me happy when I hear the music, the guide is also fun, "So we enjoyed Asmaraloka yesterday," said the woman who is familiarly called Wulan.
Apart from the flashmob, the parade tradition which has become an icon at every PKKMB FBS was also warmly welcomed by the new students. Different from last year, this year the parade was attended by all new students from all study programs.
The atmosphere of diversity radiates in
Shabaa, a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design student said he didn't expect it to be that fun. The study program makes various accessories ranging from tools for drawing to medicines which they say DKV children must have when doing revision.
"Yesterday's parade was fun, Pol! DKV also wore cute and unique costumes, I was a little tired, right? but it was really fun, especially after the parade we had a flash mob together in the afternoon," he said happily.
Vice Dean of FBS, Didik Nurhadi, M.Pd., M.A., Ph.,D., said that it is hoped that Asmaraloka can become a bridge so that FBS is not only a place for academic learning, but also for non-academic things.
"We hope that FBS can become a home where students will be comfortable studying here, comfortable doing activities at FBS, through this Asmaraloka "Hopefully the students can get to know the faculty more deeply," he concluded.[]
