Unesa. AC ID. SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme "Increasing Employer Reputation and Strengthening the IKA of Surabaya State University" at the Swiss Belinn Airport Hotel on Wednesday, July 17 2024.
This event was opened with remarks from the Deputy Chancellor III for Research, Innovation, Rankings, Publications and the UNESA Science Center, Dr. Bambang Sigit Widodo, M.Pd, who emphasized the importance of international rankings and the role of employer reputation in the QS World University Rankings assessment.
"UNESA has a target to continue to improve rankings at the international level. Therefore, we invite the participants alumni to participate in achieving the target of ranking 1,200 in The World University Rankings from the current position of 1501+," he said.

The activity, which was attended by deputy chancellors, directors, UNESA environment deans and dozens of UNESA alumni, was closed by the Deputy Chancellor II for Management, Finance, Resources and Business, Dr. Bachtiar Sjaiful Bachri, M.Pd.He expressed his hope that the academic reputation of a university high level not only seen from the scientific works produced, but also from the real output and outcomes of the graduates.
“We hope for cooperation for our beloved alma mater. Alumni not only contribute to academic reputation, but also build branding. "This collaboration needs to move in a sustainable manner to continue to support UNESA's ranking," he said.
