Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) received a visit from a delegation of students from Saekyung University, South Korea in the Meeting Room, 8th Floor of the Rectorate, Lidah Wetan Campus, on Tuesday, 14 November 2023.
A total of 10 delegations of Saekyung University students underwent an excursion study program for one week, 14-18 November 2023 at the 'Home of Champions' campus. This program is a follow-up to the MoU on academic strengthening cooperation previously signed by UNESA and Saekyung University.
The content of this program is international cultural and knowledge exchange which aims to broaden students' horizons and strengthen cooperation between educational institutions .

Prof. Slamet Setiawan, M.A., Ph.D., Director of Technology, Information, Communication and Cooperation, UNESA said, it is hoped that this excursion study can provide new insights in the academic and non-academic fields for both students and lecturers.
"This activity also provides great potential for the two universities to undertake further collaboration in the future. "This is important as our effort to encourage internationalization at all levels, which needs to be supported by a mindset and global insight for students and lecturers," he said.
Prof. Yoonsook-Shim, President of Saekyung University also accompanied the students from 'Ginseng Country'. He said that this activity had a big impact on the experience of students who would study the basics of Indonesian culture.
Apart from that, he also had the opportunity to be a keynote speaker at the 'Unesa's International Forum of University Rectors' or Unifur 2023 activity which was starting to be held on 15 – 18 November 2023.
One of the Saekyung University student representatives, Park Ji Min, said that he was very happy to be able to deepen the field of education at UNESA. This student expressed her impressions of joining UNESA.
According to her, UNESA has many educational study programs. He visited several study programs, including the education study program at the Faculty of Engineering, Ketintang Campus.
Assistant lecturer, Shin Sungshik, Ph.D., admitted that he was happy to be able to accompany his students at UNESA. He also had the opportunity to be a visiting lecturer at the Education Management Study Program, Faculty of Education Sciences (FIP) and Law Study Program, Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences (FISH).
A week-long series of excursion study activities starting with BIPA learning. Then, attend short lectures in various study programs, including PGSD Study Program, Educational Management, Guidance Counseling, Special Education, Javanese Language, Natural Sciences Education, Economics, UNESA Labschool, and a tour of several historical places in the city of Surabaya.
There are 10 delegates from Saekyung University students, namely; Lim Byeong Gil, Kim Dong Ki, Hong Seok Woo, Kwon Ki Ho, Park Ji Min, Shim Young Joo, Jo Ha Neul, Kim Na Hyun, Sung Ha Rin and Kim Yeon Jung. []
