The written test for the 2021 UNESA SPMB Achievement track was held on Sunday (27/6/2021). The test is planned to be conducted offline. However, due to the addition of new positive cases and to avoid the spread of Covid-19, UNESA then held an online test. Participants can follow it from their respective homes.
Head of the UNESA Admissions Unit, Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd said that the change from offline to online tests was aimed at minimizing the chance of transmitting Covid-19. "We prioritize health and safety for all," he said.
He continued, the online exam system was computer-based which was attended by as many as 670 participants. Regarding the technical exam, there are several things that participants need to pay attention to, namely as follows:
- Participants must re-check the computer-based test schedule and interview test schedule on the official UNESA website.
- Prepare a PC or laptop. Don't forget to update the Google Chrome application with the latest version.
- Ensure that the webcam is functioning properly before the exam.
- A good and stable Internet connection also needs to be considered.
- Using Mouse (highly recommended)
- Participants must log in one hour before the exam.
- During the exam process, you may not leave the exam worksheet.
- If during the exam process you want to leave your seat, you must have the permission of the supervisor (via chat in the system), until you are allowed to.
Sukarmin added that for participants who want to take the exam directly (offline) on campus for several reasons, UNESA provides a test place in the Training Center Room of the Rectorate Building, 4th Floor and at the UNESA Lidah Wetan Library Building. The capacity is about 100 participants. "This is to guard that if there are participants who may have technical problems, both networks and devices at home, they can take the test here with strict procedures," he said.
He emphasized that the implementation of online exams was still strictly controlled and monitored. In its monitoring system, UNESA uses special software that can detect applications that are opened outside of the participant's answer sheet. Even the monitoring system can detect participants who turn their heads or talk to anyone nearby during the exam. "If there are movements that lead to fraudulent acts, they will be immediately reprimanded and given sanctions," he said firmly.
As for the procedure for taking the SPMB UNESA achievement test, namely: The first step, participants login to the https://pmb.unesa.ac.id/pmb-login page. The second step, open the prospective student data menu. The third step, select the SPMB card submenu. The fourth step, click the test column link then the exam start time information will appear. "It is hoped that the test takers will immediately prepare everything needed, including the equipment, as well as the readiness of the participants," Sukarmin urged. (Unesa Public Relations)
