Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—A number of students and teachers of SMP Insan Terpadu, Paiton visited Surabaya State University (UNESA) on Thursday, 31 August 2023. They were welcomed by the relevant directorate and subdirectorate at Auditorium T14, FBS Lidah Campus Wetan.
A total of 131 students in grades 7, 8 and 9 in the group. Their goal is to gain insight into prevention and how to deal with cases of bullying and sexual violence. They took this step to anticipate that this case would not occur in their school. Even when an incident occurs, his party can handle it appropriately.
Director of Prevention and Control of Campus Strategic Issues, Prof. Dr. Mutimmatul Faidah, S.Ag., M.Ag., who also welcomed the students, said that cases of sexual violence and bullying must be a common concern. He appreciated the school visit as an effort to pick up the ball so that unwanted cases would not occur in the future.
The Principal of Insan Terpadu Paiton Middle School, Faisal Mas'udi, S.P., M.M., stated that his party is willing to travel about 3 -4 hours to learn about bullying and bullying at UNESA. "Starting from our curiosity about UNESA, including regarding the breaking of the MURI record yesterday, we finally had the intention to study here. Apparently, one of our teachers is also an alumni of UNESA," he said.
Dr. Diana Rahmasari, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, Sub-Directorate of Crisis Mitigation Center (SMCC) explained, the role of schools, especially boarding schools, in fighting these two cases is very important. There are several strategies that can be done, such as reporting, precision and continuous assistance, to policies that make it easier. with everyone, 3) develop self-confidence, 4) don't be provoked to fight back, 5) make bullying a motivator for success, 6) don't show fear, and 7) report it to the authorities.
