Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA— The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Surabaya State University (UNESA) held a dance competition at the Atrium of Marvell City Mall Surabaya on Saturday, October 26 2024. The event with the theme "Spooktacular Night Festival Halloween" was attended by the kpopers fanbase throughout Surabaya.
This activity is part of a series to liven up WeekFest 2024 on November 16. Chief Executive of the Dance Competition, Rusana Junita, said that a total of 17 solo-duo participants and 14 group participants participated in this competition.
The participants came from various age groups. The smallest participant is 7 years old to the oldest participant is thirty-five years old.
Deputy Dean for Learning, Research and Community Service, Student Affairs and Alumni, Moch. Khoirul Anwar said that this dance competition was intended to improve dancing skills and develop participants' self-confidence.
Through this competition, he hopes that participants can hone their dance techniques even better, as well as being a place to improve dexterity and body coordination. .

In addition, this competition is a golden opportunity for participants to collaborate and interact with fellow K-Pop music fans, building a solid and mutually supportive community.
"Of course, no less important, the experience of competing can trigger motivation and enthusiasm for participants to continue working and gave a valuable moment, namely showing his best talent in front of the audience," he said.
Vee and Kintan, senior dancers and judges at the event, said that the most important aspect of the assessment was expression and mastery of the stage.
Strong facial expressions can increase the visual appeal of a modern dance performance. Then, mastering the stage can make dance movements more interesting and not boring.
In the Solo-Duo category, 1st place was won by Wingzkay, 2nd place was won by Abelz, and 3rd place was won by Jessyca. Furthermore, in the group category, 1st place was won by Mon'amie, 2nd place was won by Fuxion, and 3rd place was won by Tweedc.
In the best costume category, Yujin won, Key won the best performance category, and the favorite group category won by Tweedc. The event closed with a live noreabeng all kpop song performance by DJ Bernard which was attended by all participants and visitors.[*]
