Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Improvements in the quality and capability of village officials to achieve sustainable development goals continue to be pursued. The Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Mendesa PDTT), together with UNESA, UNY, the Regent of Bojonegoro, the Bojonegoro Education Office, and the Bojonegoro Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service (PMD) held a meeting at the UNESA Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya on Tuesday , February 15, 2022.
The coordination meeting discussed the general policy of the Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) program for Village Heads, Village Apparatuses, BPD Members, Bumdes managers, assistants, professionals, and village community empowerment activists.
Abdul Halim Iskandar, Mendesa PDTT hopes that this discussion can be a new breakthrough that will later become a pioneer for the implementation of village RPL in other regions and universities. “This is a sweet kick for Indonesia at the beginning of 2022. Starting from Bojonegoro, UNESA, and UNY. We hope that this sweet collaboration will become a shared passion and commitment to develop a more advanced village," said the man who is familiarly called Gus Halim.
The coordination, which was also attended by the ranks of the Vice Chancellors of Unesa and UNY, discussed the policy of the education program which would later be designated for village activists who were planned to start from Bojonegoro Regency to be able to take higher education through the Village RPL program. This is in accordance with the mandate of Permendikbud, Research and Technology No. 41 of 2021 which recognizes learning outcomes obtained from work experience as college credit in formal education. "I hope that from this meeting there will be a general agreement regarding the implementation of education with RPL Desa," added Gus Halim.

Bojonegoro Regency Government Ready for First Batch
This was welcomed positively by the Bojonegoro Regency Government. Regent of Bojonegoro, Dr. Hj. Anna Mu'awanah in her speech expressed her appreciation for the election of Bojonegoro Regency as the implementing district for the first batch of RPL programs. “The Bojonegoro Regency Government is very ready to support the RPL program that has been launched by the Ministry of Villages. Technically, we will refinish it," he said.
Included in this discussion is the study program that will be prepared. There are several selected study programs at UNESA and UNY that are tailored to the objectives of the educational program to be achieved. “For this program, courses must be oriented towards RPL development. This is tailored to the objectives of the program. The goal is that the village head has soft skills to develop the village. The material provided should be different. It can be made a kind of material that refers more to problem solving, “said Prof. Nurhasan, Chancellor of UNESA.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of UNY, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO., feels grateful and grateful to have been involved as the implementer of the first batch of programs initiated by the Ministry of Villages. "So, our task is to continuously strive so that the quality of human resources in the village is increasing day by day. This is absolute. Now, this is also in line with the program of the Ministry of Villages, namely the development of human resources," he said.
Furthermore, the RPL carried out by UNESA and UNY for village activists in Bojonegoro Regency is an extraordinary moment which of course is also eagerly awaited in all villages in Indonesia. “Starting from Bojonegoro, starting with UNESA, starting with UNY, today we are accelerating efforts to increase human resources.
