Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—The Association of Indonesian Sports Professors (Apkori) and the Indonesian Sports Deans Forum held a meeting at Surabaya State University (UNESA) on Monday-Tuesday, 14-15 August 2023.
The forum, which was attended by 102 professors and 14 deans or representatives from various universities, discussed many things about the world of Indonesian sports. Chief Apkori, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that the aim of this forum was to discuss strategies for advancing sports so that they have more prospects and value in the future. held in Indonesia, especially East Java. Apart from that, it is also related to the target of achieving the achievements of Indonesian athletes in world-class sports competitions.
Deputy Apkori, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO explained that his campus was motivated to discuss a lot with other campus experts. He brought as many as 19 professors who attended this activity to study with other sports professors who according to him had a lot of experience in sports competitions at national and world levels.
"Hopefully the sports community or forum through the professors will have a stronger commitment strong to build sports in Indonesia from the dimensions of education, health, and achievement," said the man who is the Chancellor of the Yogyakarta State University (UNY). Budi Valianto, M.Pd., said that there were 2 things discussed at the meeting. First, regarding preparations for the LPTK sports faculty meeting in October 2023. Second, regarding MBKM for sports students.
"Hopefully the deans who are present will share their brilliant ideas so as to generate a lot of insight for the progress of our (Indonesia; ed) sports in the future. The hope is that sports science is an equivalent science. or parallel to other sciences," he hoped. [*]
