Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) through the Master's Program or Master's Program in Educational Technology, Faculty of Education (FIP) is holding an Edutechnopreneur Expo and Workshop at Fairway Nine Mall, Surabaya, on Saturday, December 7 2024.
The activity entitled "Practical Educational Technology for Teachers: Smart Solutions for Effective and Productive Learning" is part of the implementation of the Edutechnopreneurship course. students can design and present technology-based learning through entrepreneurial activities with entertainment nuances.
The workshop session presented two speakers, namely Mutiara Tri Astuti, an entrepreneurship practitioner in the world of education who is also an alumnus of UNESA Educational Technology, and Aloysius Jaka Santosa, a student. Master of Education Technology UNESA
Mutiara Tri Astuti spoke about the opportunity for teachers to become writers of educational books. Teaching experience can be a source of ideas for writing. "Writing a book gives us the opportunity to expand the impact of that change to more people," he said.

Meanwhile, Aloysius Jaka Santosa discusses the use of artificial intelligence or AI as a tool to create more effective and relevant learning. “AI gives us the opportunity to understand students in a more personal way. "With this approach, learning becomes more relevant and effective," he said in front of 100 teachers participating in the workshop.
Apart from workshops, this activity also displays various innovations and educational products through the Edutechnopreneur Expo. There is a booth displaying interactive multimedia, educational books, virtual reality (VR) applications, as well as program information from LPDP and the UNESA Educational Technology Postgraduate Study Program.
Andi Mariono, Coordinator of the UNESA Educational Technology Masters Study Program, emphasized the university's commitment to support teacher professionalism. “As long as humans need education, educational technology will still be needed. "Teachers need to continue learning to be able to optimize technology for relevant and quality learning," he said.
The event coordinator, Syarif Andri Setiawan, said that this workshop was the beginning of a series of applicable training. "We hope that this workshop will ignite the enthusiasm of teachers to continue to innovate and explore their potential, both through technology and creativity," he said.
The workshop session will continue with a meeting session from 8-14 December 2024 which will discuss more about the practical application of the material presented.
This session is designed to provide teachers with direct experience in utilizing AI-based technology and begin steps to become digitally literate educators so that participants are entitled to receive a 32 JP workshop certificate from the UNESA Faculty of Education.[*]
