Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) lecturers made another brilliant achievement in the 2024 Diktisaintek Award held by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. The professor at the 'Home of Champions' campus, Nadi Suprapto, received two prestigious awards at this prestigious award.
The lecturer whose home base is at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) won a gold medal or gold winner as academic leader in the subcategory of lecturers in the field of education, Anugerah Sumber Daya 2024.
Furthermore, he also received a bronze medal or bronze winner as an outstanding lecturer aged over 40 years with the highest Sinta score for the 2021-2023 period at the 2024 Ristek-PKM Award.
“Alhamdulillah This achievement also did not escape several strategies, one of which was by forming a research group with undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate students. 3, as well as involving young lecturers," he said.
Through this strategy, the professor from Sidoarjo built and expanded research collaboration across levels and institutions. He routinely schedules regular meetings to discuss research themes and plans with the team and partners.
He has a special team consisting of students of all levels, both studying at home and abroad.
The professor of physics education also emphasized the importance innovation in learning. One of his innovative works is related to technology in physics learning based on local wisdom.
He tries to elevate local physics concepts to global ones, otherwise known as glocalization. "Our research team also collaborates with young lecturers from the Faculty of Vocational Studies and Physics. "We are developing innovation at local and international levels," he added.
In the Anugerah Ristek-PKM category, Nadi Suprapto received recognition for his contribution in producing scientific work with the highest Sinta score. Sinta covers various indicators, ranging from publications, books, citations, to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
All of this was achieved through close collaboration with the research team. According to him, his success was also supported by a solid team. In fact, his party has special staff who help with academic matters, such as editing research proposals, final reports and presentation materials.
He does not deny that his dual role as a lecturer and director of Innovation, Ranking and Scientific Publications at UNESA is a challenge in itself. which requires him to be good at dividing his time between teaching, research and serving his duties as director.

Nevertheless, this responsibility he was able to do it well through good time management strategies, discipline, commitment, and of course utilizing technological aids to support tasks and performance.
He has principles in carrying out the tridharma, namely research for teaching (research for teaching), research for community service (research for community services), and learning for research (teaching for research).
"This last principle is rarely applied by other people, but I want my learning to also produce outputs such as books, publications and citations, ” he added.
In the future, lecturers will excel UNESA is committed to continuing to provide the best in the world of research and education at UNESA for Indonesia, and assisting young lecturers so they can excel, even surpass themselves.
