UNESA FC youth squad undergoes training session in preparation for entering LEAGUE 4.
Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—UNESA FC is strengthening preparations from various aspects, including player material for the provincial level competition, LIGA 4, which is being participated by 64 clubs including the 'Home of the Champions' campus squad.
On this basis, UNESA FC is holding training at UNESA Campus II Lidah Wetan Football Field, on Tuesday, November 26 2024. This exercise strengthens formations, including sharpening attack and defense patterns.
“Apart from that chemistry between players also needs to be built, so that the game can be more lively, flowing and with high accuracy. "All of this requires practice," said UNESA FC Manager, Indra Himawan.
This training is to increase the players' capacity, starting from strategy, tactics, to team mentality.
Lecturer at the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) added that the players will undergo strict training, every Monday-Friday at the same time, namely 15.00 WIB. This is done to maintain the stability of the players and strengthen the team's strategy.
Apart from focusing on strategy, training also focuses on strengthening the players' mentality. Because, mental factors such as the players' confidence on the field can also be a determining factor in the course of the match.
He hopes that the UNESA FC team will succeed in fighting for the national championship. "Hopefully UNESA FC will win the title and hopefully the UNESA football team can produce Marselino, a new Marselino," he hoped.
With commitment, discipline and regular training, UNESA FC hopes to dominate and win LEAGUE 4.
Bagas Dwi Prayoga, senior player UNESA FC, which once represented UNESA in LEAGUE 3, expressed its optimism. He hopes that the series of training can strengthen the spirit of the 'Home of Champions' campus team.
According to Bagas, the biggest challenge for players is themselves. For example, an unstable mentality, such as feeling too self-confident, tends to underestimate your opponent, and feelings of lack of self-confidence can cause mental breakdown.
Apart from that, feelings such as being too complacent and underestimating simple techniques should be avoided in competition. Therefore, this training is important to improve skills, team performance and player mentality.
Bagas hopes that, with the reinforcement of 20 superior players, UNESA FC can be successful and win the title in the competition which will start in December 2024. .[*]
