Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Students, teachers and principals of SMA/SMK throughout Madiun City took part in the UNESA Magetan Campus Socialization organized by the Directorate of Campuses Outside the Main Campus together with the Directorate of Public Relations and Public Information at the Erlangga Building, Madiun on Friday, 27 October 2023
The socialization of this study program was attended by the Mayor of Madiun, Drs. H. Maidi S.H., M.M., M. Pd; Branch Head of the Madiun Regional Education Service, East Java Provincial Education Service; and Manager Erlangga Madiun Office.
Prof. Dr. Sarmini, M. Hum, Director of Campuses Outside the UNESA Main Campus said that UNESA's enthusiasm for opening a campus in Magetan is to open up opportunities for the best sons and daughters of the region, especially in Magetan, Madiun and surrounding areas, to be able to pursue higher education.
"In the long term, our direction is to improve the quality of human resources to encourage regional development. Studying abroad may cost a lot of money for some people. That's why we present a campus with a location close to home. "That is our spirit through the UNESA Magetan Campus," he said.
He added, in line with that spirit, the Magetan Campus has the same educational program quality as the main campus, Surabaya. Both in terms of building facilities which are currently under construction, as well as human resources for lecturers and staff.
“We have opened 9 study programs at the Magetan Campus. "This study program has high demand and is in line with the human resource development needs of the Magetan and surrounding areas," he said. UNESA Magetan Campus received a positive response from the Mayor, Madiun Education Department, school principals and students there.
Gilang Gusti Aji, S.I.P., M.Sc. as Head of the Public Relations Section, Directorate of Public Relations and Public Information, UNESA explained the registration routes, facilities, information and study programs available at the Magetan campus.
The study programs in question are as follows; Bachelor of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB); Undergraduate Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program, Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK).
Furthermore, Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program, and Bachelor of Law Study Program, Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences (FISH); Mathematics Education Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA); Bachelor of Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Education (FIP); and English Literature Undergraduate Study Program from the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS).
