Unesa. AC ID. SURABAYA—UNESA Vocational Sports Coaching D-4 Study Program together with the Surabaya physical trainer community, AtP-Pc (Athlete Peak Performance) held National Level 1 Physical Trainer Training, on Friday-Sunday, 26-28 April 2024 at UNESA.
This training was attended by dozens of participants from among students, teachers and referees. UNESA Sports Coaching D-4 Study Program Coordinator, Dr. Kunjung Ashadi, S.Pd., M.Fis., AIFO said, this activity is very urgent for students."Because, the national level 1 physical trainer license is a mandatory requirement for graduation for D-4 Sports Coaching students ," he said.
Through this activity, UNESA is committed to improving the competency and quality of physical trainers in Indonesia, especially in East Java. The provisions that participants get from this training can be important provisions in carrying out professional tasks both in sports and fitness centers.
The lecturer and training presenter, Dr. Said Jatmiko, S.Pd., M.Kes., said that this activity was intended to increase the competency of physical trainers in East Java and Indonesia in general.
This training is also part of the Community Service or PKM program which involves the LANKOR Sports Coach Education Institute (LP2O LANKOR) as a certification body for participants who pass .
“We have held this event for three years in a row, and every year we see quite high interest, especially from participants outside UNESA. "In fact, this year we have participants from Timika, Papua and Kalimantan," he added.

Meanwhile , Prof. Dr. Ria Lumintuarso, M.Si, the main speaker from LP2O LANKOR emphasized the importance of physical trainers improving competency continuously.
“Coaches have a key role in the development of athletes and their achievement. "Optimal physical condition not only influences athletes' performance in competitions, but also influences their technical, tactical and mental aspects," explained the professor at Yogyakarta State University (UNY).
According to him, physical training is not only important to improve athletes' performance when competing, but also to maintain their endurance, strength and stamina off the field.[]
