Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – On Wednesday (21/10), the Faculty of Language and Arts (hereinafter reffered to as FBS), State University of Surabaya received an online visit from National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (hereinafter reffered to as BAN-PT) through the Field Assessment for Accreditation of the Undergraduate Program in Indonesian Literature that was held in Unesa. The two assessors from BAN-PT who conducted the assessment included Prof. Dr. Nadra, M.S. from Andalas University Padang and Dr. Mulyana, M.Hum. from Yogyakarta State University. The Field Assessment for the Accreditation of the Indonesian Literature Study Program at the State University of Surabaya took place at 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The activity lasted for two days, from October 20th-21st, which was opened by Unesa Rector, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., and attended by all Unesa FBS Leaders, Unesa Research Institutions and Community Service Heads, Unesa FBS Quality Assurance Group, Head of Indonesian Literature Undergraduate Department and all Indonesian Literature Undergraduate Lecturers.
There are four other departments at FBS Unesa which also conducted field assessments. The four departments include Undergraduate Japanese Language Education Department, Undergraduate Education for Drama, Dance and Music Department, Undergraduate Indonesian Language and Literature Education and Undergraduate Javanese Language Education and Literature Department. The five departments from FBS obtained the results of reaccreditation with the score A. The score obtained by the five departments was certainly inseparable from the results of hard work, cooperation and enthusiasm of all related parties, even though the activity were carried out online in the midst of corona virus pandemic.
Dean of FBS Unesa, Dr. Trisakti, M.Si., expressed his joy over the results of the very satisfying field assessment in his interview, "Thank God, finally our hard, sincere works and prayers paid off with the result of this five departments re-accreditation extraordinary results: A score. May this achievement fuel the morale of leaders in the faculties and departments as well as the academic community to innovate and excel in various fields within the framework of the Three Pillars of Higher Education.
