Deputy Chancellor I, Martadi said, Unesa was a university appointed by the government as the implementer of the people's school program, along with a number of other universities of Brawijaya University, Padang State University, and North Sumatra Islamic University.
"Minister of Public Works reviewed the condition of the Gedangan Campus which will later be used as a new building for the people's school. Because this responsibility is under the Ministry of Public Works, this is important to ensure the readiness of the location there," he said.
UNESA Campus 3 Gedangan is a place for the implementation of Extraordinary Education Teacher Education (PG-PLB). The building requires further adjustment, so that according to the needs of the program.
Martadi added, people's schools at Unesa will begin this year, because it is temporarily focused on the Tongue Wetan Campus. After the adjustment, both renovations and new buildings, was also carried out, the program was also carried out at the Gedangan Campus Unesa.
"On the tongue campus everything is ready, buildings, classrooms, dormitories, accommodation all are ready. Therefore, later people's schools will be held on the tongue campus, while renovating or developing the Gedangan campus," he added.
The visit of the Minister of Public Works and the ranks is at the same time being the starting point for planning the physical design of the new people's school buildings. UNESA expressed full readiness to support the government in bringing access to inclusive education for all children of the nation. [*]
