UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., received an award from the Acting Secretary General of Diktiristek, Prof. Tjitjik Srie Tjahjandarie, Ph.D, on the night of the 2023 IKU PTN achievement awards .

JAKARTA—The commitment of Surabaya State University (UNESA) as PTNBH in carrying out transformation and improving the quality of institutional governance has resulted in achievements at the national level. UNESA continues to harvest awards, one of which is the award for being the 1st national champion for PTNBH 2023 Main Performance Indicators (IKU) achievements from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek), Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.
The award was received directly by UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., and Deputy Chancellor II for Management, Finance, Resources and Business, Dr. Bachtiar Sjaiful Bachri, M.Pd., from Plt. Secretary General of Diktistek, Prof. Tjitjik Srie Tjahjandarie, Ph.D. at the 2023 PTN IKU Achievement Awarding Night at the Inter-Continental Hotel Jakarta on Thursday, July 18 2024.
As stated in the Decree of the Director General of Diktiristek dated July 1 2024, the 'Home of Champions' campus is leading the PTNBH IKU achievement 2023 high category with a total of 74.81 points. In second and third position, Airlangga University was followed with 74.64 points, and Hasanuddin University with 73.77 points.

UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that a total of eight aspects or indicators were assessed in the PTN IKU League. Of the eight IKUs, UNESA is the only PTNBH that excels in two IKUs at once, namely IKU 4 (teaching practitioners on campus) and IKU 6 (study program in collaboration with world-class partners).
"PTN IKU is an indicator of the achievements and success of PTN performance which is assessed based on eight main indicators. Thank God, thanks to the seriousness and commitment of all parties, UNESA has succeeded in showing proud achievements as PTNBH," said the Chancellor of UNESA happily after receiving the award. .
The UNESA sports science professor added that receiving the IKU PTN League award was not the first thing for a campus with the tagline 'One Step Ahead'. Previously, when he still had PTN-BLU status, he continued to get achievements in the PTN IKU League. This means that UNESA can continue to maintain this achievement from PTNBLU to PTNBH level.
The Deputy Chancellor for Division II UNESA received the award which was handed over directly by the Acting Secretary General of the Directorate General of Higher Education and Technology.
"Achievements "This year feels very special and very proud, because UNESA as a newcomer PTNBH can compete with the elephant campuses that previously became PTNBHs in Indonesia, only three campuses achieved high positions, and UNESA was the highest," he said the chancellor who is familiarly called Cak Hasan.
For Cak Hasan, these achievements and achievements are the result or manifestation of the commitment of all levels of leadership and work units from university level to faculties and study programs in improving the quality of services and governance of PTN-BH. This award must be a motivation and trigger enthusiasm to continue to provide the best in improving the quality of PTNBH which is superior, adaptive, innovative and globally competitive.
