Href = "// Unesa.ac.id/"> SURABAYA STATE UNIVERSITY (UNESA) holds a barber Korean style design workshop at the Auditorium of the Unesa E1 Faculty of Engineering Building, Campus 1 Ketintang, on Friday, March 14, 2025.
This activity was attended Pilot Manager, and Barber Educator at the Elkap Barber and Hair Shop, as a resource person.
Koorprodi S-1 Unesa Makeup Education, Nia Kusstianti in his remarks said, this activity is expected to improve students' skills in understanding modern haircuts techniques.
"This activity provides new insights to students, especially in understanding the haircut trends that are currently developing in the beauty industry," he said.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FT), Suparji appreciated the implementation of this activity. "The beauty industry, including barber, is developing very rapidly. Workshops like this will equip students with professional skills to be better prepared to face the world of work," he said.
The event begins with the opening and prayer, followed by the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) and Shop.
In the main session, Reno Indradi explained the trending haircut technique, such as comma hair , taper fade , and design square layer . "The haircut feature that is in demand by Indonesian people is a neat and short impression, in accordance with the local culture," he explained.
He also highlighted the barber trend that began adopting European style with the design of nape Styling that forms the letter C or s.
Workshop participants have the opportunity to witness the truncation technique directly using a clipper with the guard 3-6, how to determine the length of the precision hair, to the technique texturizing in a professional barber.
This workshop not only provides new experiences for students, but is also a direct learning place from experienced industry practitioners. Hopefully, through this activity, students can be increasingly ready to face challenges in the world of professional barber. [*]
