Unesa.ac.id. CHINA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to becoming a World Class University by participating as one of the sponsors at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific (QS HES: APAC) 2024, on November 5 2024.
Activities This is an annual agenda organized by the Quacquarelli Symonds ranking agency and is the leading platform in the Asia Pacific region for innovation and collaboration in higher education.
This year's activity carries the theme "Shifting Landscapes, collaborative solutions: Pioneering innovation in Asia Pacific higher education," which is the 20th Anniversary of QS HES: APAC, held in Macau SAR, China with the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) as host.
Around 2,000 participants from various countries were involved in panel discussions related to industry, establishing partnerships, optimal use of AI, building a lifelong learning ecosystem, and navigating the ever-evolving higher education landscape at this event.
UNESA Chancellor, Nurhasan or Cak Hasan, who directly led the 'Home of Champions' campus delegation at this event, said that UNESA is committed to continuing to be at the forefront of educational innovation in the Asia Pacific region.
UNESA's participation in the QS Higher Ed Summit is not only an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge, but also to forge new collaborations that are beneficial for the development of higher education in Indonesia.
"We believe that through international collaboration, we can create a more inclusive and sustainable education model, which in time will improve the quality of human resources in our country," said Cak Hasan.
The Deputy Chancellor for Research, Innovation, Rankings, Scientific Publications and the UNESA Science Center, Bambang Sigit Widodo, added that participation in various international events like this is one of the efforts made to increase UNESA's recognition on the international stage.
Meanwhile, the Director of Innovation, Rankings and Scientific Publications, Nadi Suprapto, added that this kind of activity is important for UNESA, because through discussions with delegates from various parts of the world, UNESA can get best practices related to learning , ranking, research, publication and so on.
UNESA's presence in this global forum confirms the university's commitment to building strong academic partnerships and encouraging innovation in higher education.
