Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) through the Academic Directorate held a Socialization of International Competency Certification with the title "The Acceleration of Indonesia's Transformation To A Digital Economy By Improving Digital Talent" online on Saturday, February 24 2024.
The activities that students took part in were the result of collaboration between UNESA, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), technology companies Elitery, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training and Certification training and certification services.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Fida Rachmadiarti, M.Kes., Academic Director of UNESA, emphasized that taking this competency certification is an important step in increasing competency experience, not only in the scientific realm of each department, but also in developing soft skills that are crucial in the digital era, such as information and digital technology.

Ainur Rofik, S.Kom., Head of the Digital Management Section, explained clearly the easy and efficient registration procedures for this competency certification for students through an integrated online platform, allows participants to register quickly and conveniently via the SIDIA page on the Single Sign-On (SSO) System.
Abdul Goni, representative from AWS, enthusiastically presented a revolutionary talent program. Through this initiative, students will gain exclusive access to UNESA's Skill Builder, an online learning platform that offers free access to 699 courses over the three-year program period.
The certification provided is internationally recognized, opening up wide opportunities for participants to achieve success in careers in the information technology industry. Not only that, the 35 best participants will be selected to take part in an eight-day intensive bootcamp in Jakarta after completing the course. This event is an important momentum in providing in-depth insight into the importance of competency certification in the era of digital transformation.
This practical discussion and workshop is to provide an in-depth understanding of the demands of today's digital job market. With collaboration between UNESA, USAID, Elitery, and AWS, it is hoped that this will be an important milestone in increasing the quality and quantity of Indonesian workers who are ready to compete in the era of digital transformation.[]
