Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Early Childhood Teacher Education Department Student Association, UNESA held an international webinar entitled "Building Resilient Digital Minds" on Sunday, December 10 2023. This activity focuses on psychological issues in the era of social media to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs related to health and well-being.
This webinar is an important forum for thinkers and practitioners around the world to understand the impact of psychology in the context of social media. In the event, participants from various countries showed great interest in maintaining mental health and well-being in the digital era.
One of the speakers, Rabiyya Museyibzada from the Ministry of Azerbaijan, presented an international perspective on the government's approach to managing psychological impacts from social media use.
Museyibzada discussed the concrete steps the Azerbaijani government has taken to promote mental health among an increasingly digitally connected society.
He showed that collaboration between government and civil society can create a digital ecosystem that supports mental health.
Next, Vania Ardelia, UNESA psychology lecturer discussed the role of psychology in forming a strong digital mind and healthy amidst the ever-growing flow of information.

Vania Ardelia, in her presentation, emphasized the need for psychological digital literacy. He highlighted that this approach is important in shaping positive thinking among social media users, especially the younger generation.
Discussions during the question and answer session enriched this webinar with sharp questions and critical thinking from participants. It was revealed that global challenges related to mental health know no national borders, and international cooperation is key in overcoming this problem.
This webinar also emphasizes the active role of educators, parents and other stakeholders in shaping mindsets tough digital among the younger generation. With increasing exposure to social media, a holistic approach to education and mental support is becoming increasingly important.
Active participation in webinars reflects the international need to discuss current psychological issues that are emerging along with technological developments. Through synergy between academics and government practitioners, it is hoped that better solutions can be found to face mental health challenges in the digital era.
