Marsudi, S.Pd., M.Pd., as the Head of the Design Department, in his speech expressed his gratitude to the parties involved in this event. He hopes that this event will bring goodness and success to the Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design department of UNESA.
Furthermore, Reza Ghifari as the head of the Design Department Student Association (HMJ) hopes that this event will gain new knowledge in dealing with the 5.0 era. " said Reza.
Not only design exhibitions, in Sinesthesia there was also a talk show attended by two speakers namely Wildan Zalfi a graphic designer who spoke about "Graphic Design and Challenges Toward the Era of Society 5.0" and Venera Lindra as Founder of Waste recycling project who spoke about "Recycled Art. : Re-Think Our Waste with Creativity”
In the talk show, Wildan Zalfi discussed how designers can survive in the creative industry in the era of society 5.0. Actually, the current situation has stepped into the 5.0 era, although many do not know it, because many increasingly sophisticated technologies are used to provide convenience.
"The way we work in the 5.0 era must be integrated with technology, therefore conveniences such as the presence of robots can help human work. It's not robots that control us, but we collaborate with each other," said Wildan.
From the existing facilities, it is not free from danger as is the case in the online loan sector, therefore, he advised that technology should not control us, but be wise in using technology.
In facing challenges, Wildan Zalfi provides two ways for designers to face challenges in the 5.0 era, namely daring to solve problems and giving value to a work so that it has a high selling value.
“A designer is required to solve problems by simplifying other people's problems, so as designers we have to collaborate with other people whether in the field of informatics or information, we cannot stand alone or can be alone. while values can take various forms and make human work easier,” explained Wildan.
The recycling art discussed by Venera is expected to inspire artists to begin to realize how dangerous excessive consumption and environmental pollution are. Venera as the founder of the Waste Recycling Project in 2018 invites participants to recognize the 7Rs which are believed by WARP, the steps in recycling, namely raising, refuse, reduce, reuse, repair, recycle and rot.
Furthermore, in dealing with waste, Venera hopes that the community must reduce consumptive behavior. "Don't fall victim to trends, buy used or recycled items, bring your own bag or tumbler, try to avoid over-packaged items, buy items from local companies and support companies that are ethically responsible for the environment and are sustainable," Venera hoped.
