Unesa.ac.id, Nganjuk-The Independent Real Work Lecture for Independent Campus Study (KKN MBKM) held by the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) in 2021 has ended. The closing ceremony was officially held at Cengkok Asri Park Tourism, Ngronggot, Nganjuk Regency, East Java on Sunday (20/06).
The activity was attended by Prof. Luthfiyah Nurlaela. M.Pd, Head of the Agency for Human Resource Development and Community Empowerment at the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration, Nganjuk Regent (plt) Dr. Drs. H. Marhaen Djumadi, S.E., S.H., M.M., MBA along with the ranks of the Nganjuk Regency government. In addition there is also the sub-district head, as well as the ranks of the local village head.
Meanwhile, from UNESA, there is the Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd, Head of MBKM Unit Dr. Muhammad Soleh, M.Pd, Head of the KKN Division Dr. Nurkholish, M.Pd. and other ranks of the Unesa academic community.
On that occasion, Nurcholis said that the student achievements in the MBKM KKN program were quite a lot, including on the humanitarian theme program there were blood donation activities, making hand sanitizers, masks, Semeru tough village, disaster education, trauma healing, food collection and others who involving around 1,435 students.
Then the entrepreneurship theme program includes activities to improve the quality of food products, digital marketing, e-commerce, packaging and labeling, financial education, and BUMDES which was attended by 603 students. Then, the village project theme program included culinary tourism village activities, water, rocks, stunting-free villages, child-friendly villages, village libraries, making village attributes and many more which were attended by 947 students.
Not only that, UNESA KKN has other privileges, namely 85 students with special disabilities, 116 Islamic Economics KKN, 147 management KKN. Of the total activities, a total of 5609 students participated in KKN activities as well as recorded the history of the largest departures carried out by Unesa.
The Unesa MBKM KKN itself is held in a hybrid manner (offline and online) by implementing strict procedures spread across 13 provinces, 79 regencies and cities, and 419 villages. "Although it is still a pandemic, this is an impressive history in MBKM KKN activities. The development of the 2021 UNESA thematic KKN has met expectations. It emphasizes the aspect of community empowerment through a participatory approach, "he said.
Meanwhile, Sujarwanto stated that the Unesa MBKM KKN activity was a starting point for establishing wider cooperation, especially with Nganjuk Regency. Students' efforts to spread positive things through programs that have been implemented can be continued in a better direction and can provide benefits to the wider community.
"We appreciate the implementation of this MBKM KKN event and thank you for the support of all parties, both the community and government officials who support the success of this program," he said. “Thank you again, finally our brothers and sisters can learn on campus life with the community in Nganjuk and other districts. Hopefully what the students provide can be useful for villages and regions so that they can continue to develop according to their respective potentials," he concluded.
Marhaen Jumaidi, Acting Regent of Nganjuk said that Unesa has been working with Nganjuk Regency for three years, one of which is in the form of the Community Service Program. He continued that, this year the community was taught many things and it was very beneficial for the community. "He was taught to make hand sanitizers, there was a blood donor program, and much more. Even the economic sector and tourist attractions managed by Bumdes started to move because of the assistance of KKN students," said the Surabaya IKIP Alumni.
Prof. Luthfiyah on that occasion said that the MBKM KKN activity could increase the empowerment of rural communities and support the National SDGs. With this program, villages have the opportunity to overcome backwardness. Village SDGs must reach all residents with the jargon of No One Left Behind. He continued that the role of students in encouraging and advancing Bumdes with the community was the key to village growth. According to him, Bumdes is a form of village potential by maintaining wisdom and reaching all residents.
The Head of the Agency for Human Resource Development and Empowerment of Disadvantaged Villagers and Transmigration continued that the priority of the Village SDGs could be realized through MBKM KKN. This program can be an opportunity in preparing for development and the welfare of rural communities. “We are grateful, because this KKN continues to contribute in increasing the village SDGs targets. The MBKM KKN program is very strategic in encouraging village development, accelerating the economic development of rural communities," he concluded. (Yuris/Goddess)
