There were a number of deputies from OIKN who spoke about IKN from various sectors including defense, green and digital transformation, facilities and infrastructure, social culture and community empowerment, environment and natural resources, and investment.
Deputy Chancellor III for Research, Innovation, Rankings, Publications and the UNESA Science Center, Bambang Sigit Widodo, said that the development sector, including IKN, needs to involve the participation and aspirations of the community and students.
"This activity is important, academics from universities who can later bring the information conveyed by the OIKN team to all parties, all components of the nation so that together we can make the IKN a success in accordance with our shared hopes, " he said.
The Deputy for Social, Cultural and Community Empowerment at IKN, Alimuddin, said that the socialization about IKN in Konaspi was a form of collaboration and support from universities in encouraging the acceleration of IKN development through the preparation of superior human resources.
Apart from that, it also opens up space for student or young generation participation in the development of IKN which is projected to be a city that is not only proud of the Indonesian people, but also becomes a world city. To get there, the participation and aspirations of the community, young people need to be heard through forums like this.
“We have done this IKN Goes to Campus at Mulawarman University Samarinda, and at UNESA this is the first on the island of Java," he said.
He added , this agenda aims to increase the understanding of the Indonesian academic community and students regarding IKN and encourage the active participation of academics and students to contribute to the development of IKN which is environmentally friendly, technology-based and supported by superior human resources.
"IKN development is part we are for the welfare of the Indonesian people. "Then, of course our part is also to create a new economic superhub, which is not only centered on the island of Java but also in Indonesia as a whole," said Alimuddin.
He also invited the participation of universities and the younger generation to take part. as well as playing an active role in building IKN. "We really hope for the participation of universities and need a lot of young people, around 60-70 percent of the employees at the IKN Authority are also young people," he said.
He appreciated the presence. UNESA at IKN is not only aimed at being an educational institution, but also as a motor in accelerating the improvement of the quality of human resources, especially for educational staff such as teachers in the region.
Furthermore, the presence of UNESA is expected to help accelerate development human resources, especially to ensure that our teachers have world-class competencies.
"If our teachers are not world-class, how can we create a city and society of international standards. "UNESA's presence at IKN is to produce world-class teachers," he said.[]
