Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Leaders of higher education institutions participating in the XXIX Campus Convention and the XXV Annual Meeting of the Indonesian Chancellor's Forum (FRI) attended the Gala Dinner at the Grahadi State Building on Monday, January 15 2024 evening. This activity was attended by the Deputy Governor of East Java, Dr. H. Emil Elestianto Dardak, B.Bus., M.Sc. or Emil Dardak with the East Java Provincial Government OPD officials.
Deputy Governor Emil Dardak said that FRI is a locomotive that carries the direction and vision of a golden Indonesia. He believes that this forum has the power to strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem in higher education and strengthen synergy with the government, regional and central.
He further said that through this forum the learning system in Indonesia can also fixed. There are several programs on well-known overseas campuses that might be applicable, one of which is the microdontia program, a program that contains specific technical training such as AI, big data and Internet of Things (IoA) training to train students' skills today.< /p>
"To quote Obama, education is the key to middle income life. This means that students should not be satisfied with one degree they have, but must be enthusiastic about achieving another degree for a better quality of life good," he said.

Chairman of FRI for the 2022-2023 period, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak., said that this forum was clear evidence of the synergy between regional governments and campuses in Indonesia. The Unair Chancellor hopes that regional governments can strengthen support such as budgets for students who receive scholarships such as KIP-K and many more.
"If students have all their needs met, then they don't need to look for additional costs and focus on Study. "That's what needs to be thought about because the direction is to prepare superior human resources for regional progress," said Prof. Nasih.
Chair of the FRI Campus Convention and Annual Meeting committee, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that in a political year like now, many students are starting to be interested in getting involved in it. This is the homework of universities to guide students to become superior and tough human resources to face all problems including the world of politics.
"We (read: FRI) continue to discuss and look for ways so that students can implement democratic education well and correct so that we don't fall in the wrong direction," concluded the chancellor who is familiarly known as Cak Hasan.[]
