Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The State University of Surabaya (UNESA) is holding an offline graduation at Graha UNESA, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya, on 27-28 July 2022. This is the first offline graduation since the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia and will be attended by around 3,849 graduates plus their guardians or companions.
Dr. Anung Priambodo, S.Pd., M.Psi.T., Head of the UNESA Graduation Committee said that the graduation ceremony this time was attended by graduates of the period 97-102. Due to the large number of participants, the event was held for two days and each day consisted of two sessions. This scheme is intended to avoid crowds on site.
“The first or morning session of the graduation ceremony starts at 07.00-11.00 WIB. As for the second or afternoon session starting from 13.00-17.00 WIB, "he said.
First Day Scheme
Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd., Head of the Admissions Unit added, regarding the event scheme. On the first day (Wednesday, 27 July 2022), the first graduation session will be attended by all faculties. In order to avoid crowds, the committee made two entry lines.
For the Faculty of Sports Science (FIO), Faculty of Education (FIP), Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH), Faculty of Engineering (FT) access is through the front door of Graha UNESA.
Meanwhile, for the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS), the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) and Postgraduates, access is through the back door of the UNESA Graha.
Then the second session, access to FIP, FISH, FT, Postgraduate through the front door. Meanwhile, FBS, FEB, FMIPA and FIO enter through the back door.
Second Day Scheme
On the second day (Thursday, July 28, 2022), the first session, for FT, FIP, FMIPA and FISH entered through the front door. Meanwhile, FBS, FEB, FIO and Postgraduates enter through the back door. Then for the second session, FMIPA, FIO, FEB and Postgraduate entered through the front door. While FIP, FT and Vocational entered through the back door.
Conditions for Participants and Companions
For participants and graduation companions, please pay attention to the following conditions; 1) one invitation only for one guardian who accompanies the graduate; 2) graduates and assistants are required to have a certificate of three or booster doses of vaccine. For those who have the first and second doses of vaccine, they must perform an antigen test on H-1 with a negative result; 3) Participants and companions must wear a white KN95 mask.
"Regarding the prokes scheme at the graduation venue, it has been assessed by the ranks of the Covid-19 Task Force, Surabaya City," explained the FMIPA lecturer.
In addition, it is also necessary to pay attention to vehicle parking provisions. For those who bring four wheels, they can park their vehicles in an orderly manner at the Graha UNESA page. Meanwhile, for two-wheelers, the parking lot is in the UNESA Labschool yard (right on the west side of Graha UNESA).
Anticipate Traffic Density
To anticipate traffic jams, UNESA has coordinated with the Lakarsantri Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas). It is planned that several personnel will be deployed to anticipate traffic congestion around the location.
It is estimated that traffic congestion will begin to occur during the clean rehearsal tomorrow, Tuesday, July 26 2022 until the graduation ceremony on Wednesday-Thursday (July 27-28 2022).
