Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Computer-Based Writing Exam for Joint Selection of Admission to State Universities (UTBK SBMPTN) began to be held on Monday (12/4/2021). In Unesa there were a total of 1,100 participants who took the first day's test. 550 participants in the first session and 550 participants for the second session.
In general, UTBK in Unesa went smoothly and as expected. However, there were about 49 participants who did not attend without information and participants who were forced to be unable to join UTBK due to delays.
According to the directions and schedule, participants are recommended to attend 45 minutes before the exam. Participants start entering the exam room from 06.45 to 06.50.
Identity and document checks from 06:50 to 07:10. Training at 07.10-07.15 then enter the exam session at 07.15-09.00 for Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) and continued from 09.00-10.30 for Academic Competency Test (TKA) Saintek or Soshum.
Chairman of UTBK Unesa Admission Unit Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd said that there was one participant who was late in the first session. The participant did not want to be named and the origin of the area. The participant in question is misplaced. Went to UINSA, even though the test was at UNESA Lidah Wetan.
"He misplaced, and arrived at UINSA this participant will wait, but did not ask people around, because he did not see any signs of exams, he asked the officer there (UINSA, red) and it turned out that he was wrong campus and the location of his exam in Unesa Lidah Wetan," he explained.
Because the distance from UINSA to Unesa Lidah Wetan was quite good, he was late and was forced to be unable to take the exam. According to the rules, the delay tolerance of UTBK participants is a maximum of 30 minutes after the exam starts. Moreover, participants are not allowed to take the exam.
"Hearing the long journey and the struggle of these participants, we were moved, but how else, this is already the rule of the center," he continued.
Sukarmin asserted that in anticipation of delays and participants who misplaced the exam, it has been urging participants to check the test location as much as possible, can be online (barcode floor plan). In addition, participants are required to attend 45 minutes even 1 hour before the exam.
On the UTBK participant's id card is written with a red sign urging to check the location and attend early at the test site. So that participants can know it and can anticipate delays and misplaced locations.
Attending early will be better and more relaxed, not in a hurry, so that it can be calm during the exam. "Hopefully this does not happen again to the next participant. Participants can first check the location before the exam," he said.
In addition to one participant who was unable to take the exam, there were also some UBTK participants who were not present at the location without explanation.
Sukarmin said that in the implementation of utbk first session and the second session, Surabaya Covid-19 Task Force monitored the test location to ensure health protocols during the exam. "Hopefully in the future it will be smoother, no one is late, obey the prokes and we expect UTBK to be successful, safe, and we stay healthy," sukarmin hope. (Pr. Unesa)
