Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–In order to introduce culture and MSMEs on the international stage, Surabaya State University (UNESA) collaborates with the Asian Centers of Excellence on Education for Sustainable Development (ATECCE) to carry out activities Field Trip at Balai RT 05 RW 04 Tenggilis Mejoyo, Surabaya, on 17 November 2023.
This activity, which is part of UNESA's International Forum of University Rectors (UNIFUR), is a collaboration between Surabaya State University and Okayama University working together with UNESCO Bangkok, UNESCO Beijing, Asia-Pacific Cultural Center for UNESCO (ACCU), and supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
Vice Chancellor for Research, Community Service, Innovation, Publications, and University Ranking, Junaidi Budi Prihanto S.KM., M.KM., Ph.D., said that holding this activity aims to introduce the Green Village and Madani Village in the City of Surabaya, specifically in the Tenggilis Mejoyo Village.

"Tenggilis is a village assisted by UNESA which is used as a Green Village and Madani Village which was developed to improve the quality of the climate," he said.Green Village, he continued, is a village that carries out the process of greening the environment. Where the village can be independent in waste management and can make observations on energy. Meanwhile, Kampung Madani is a village that is harmonious, harmonious and able to provide prosperity to its citizens.
The Head of Tenggilis Mejoyo District, Wawan Windarti S.Sos, M.M., expressed his appreciation to UNESA. "Activities This is a form of UNESA synergy with city governments that can continue to be developed and become an example for other regions. "With all the potential that exists on campus, it is hoped that this collaboration can continue," he said.
He further explained that Tenggilis Mejoyo Village, which is a target area of UNESA, has been collaborating since 2022, especially in management. MSMEs and the environment.

In this activity participants consisting of lecturers and students from various countries were introduced to the products produced, namely SME Product and Eco Enzyme. There were also processed products ranging from batik, patchwork crafts , butterfly pea flower tea, sinom, tempeh chips and the process of making them.
Dr. Priyanka Sinsiwar, a participant from India was also amazed by this activity. According to her, this activity carried out by residents of UNESA's assisted areas can have a big impact on the environment .
Meanwhile, the Head of Tenggilis Mejoyo Village, Tri Kartika Sari, S. KM., hopes that the collaboration between UNESA and Tenggilis Mejoyo Village can continue and improve the quality of existing resources at UNESA and in Tenggilis Mejoyo Village.< /p>
