The spirit of sharing is inseparable from the encouragement of religion that encourages adherents to share blessings with others. Sharing is a form of social cosmetology that has an impact on the community.
"Religion moves people to worship while doing good that is really felt by the community. This is important for people who experience a lot of gaps, "said the sociologist Surabaya State University (Unesa) , M. Jacky.
According to the lecturer of S-1 Sociology Study Program, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL), the sharing phenomenon is a form of sensitivity and social solidarity. At least, there are some benefits of sharing takjil from a social perspective as follows:
1. Increasing concern and empathy
Sharing Takjil is a form of concern for others, especially for those who need it, such as daily workers, travelers, or underprivileged communities.
This social action can foster empathy by feeling and understanding the condition of others who may have difficulty getting breaking food.
2. Strengthening social relations
The tradition of sharing takjil is often done collectively, both by family, community, and organization. This is a place to strengthen social relations, build togetherness, and strengthen the values of mutual cooperation in the community.
3. Creating a sense of togetherness and equality
Sharing takjil eliminating social bulkheads between various levels of society. Anyone can share without looking at social status, thus creating a sense of togetherness and equality among the community.
4. Strengthening the culture of mutual cooperation and philanthropy
Ramadan is often a momentum to improve social activities. The tradition of sharing takjil teaches people to help each other, which is part of the culture of mutual cooperation and philanthropic spirit in Islam.
5. Relieve others' burdens
Sharing takjil helps ease the burden of some people, so they can break the fast on time, without having to worry about food.
6. Fostering generous and sincere attitude
Ramadan teaches the values of generosity and sincerity in giving. Sharing takjil becomes one form of training to share without expecting a reply, but solely to spread goodness.
