The Business Process Map and Integrity Zone Workshop is a manifestation of the UNESA faculty's commitment to improving the quality of service and governance of the institution.
Unesa. ac.id., SURABAYA—Improving the quality of service and institutional governance is a joint commitment of all environmental units at Surabaya State University (UNESA). In fact, two new faculties, namely the Faculty of Law (FH) and the Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) have demonstrated this commitment.
This can be seen, one of them, through the Workshop on Business Process Maps and Designation of Integrity Zones for the Faculty of Law (FH) and Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) which was held at Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya, on Tuesday, 14 May 2024. This activity was attended by all levels of FH and FPsi leadership and officials, deans, directors, heads of institutions, as well as study program coordinators and team members related to UNESA. .
Vice Chancellor II for Law, Management, Finance, and Resources and Business, Dr. Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri, M.Pd., emphasized that the integrity zone is not just a label, but an area of accountability or accountability for carrying out all tasks and managing all authorities according to established procedures.

Main target The integrity zone at UNESA is that all work units, in this case the main business work units of the faculty under the leadership of the deans, have an integrity zone. Determining and developing business processes must be able to be described strongly in order to be able to compete.
"When we do the areas that are our task of committing to the integrity zone well, then this automatically becomes external recognition for what we have done carried out by UNESA," he said.
The integrity zone reflects true professional and responsible commitment. Integrity is not only a concept, but also actions and behavior.
The Deputy Chancellor for Division II together with the dean of the Faculty of Law and the dean of the Faculty of Psychology signed an integrity pact as a form of commitment to realizing institutional governance honest, effective, qualified and responsible.
Map preparation business processes are part of the governance arrangement to increase efficiency and effectiveness, processes and work procedures that are clear and measurable in each unit.
A business process map is a diagram that depicts effective work relationships, and efficiency between organizational units to produce performance in accordance with the goals of establishing the organization.
Pak Bachtiar, his nickname, really hopes that the two new faculties, namely the Faculty of Law (FH) and the Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) will quickly adapt and independently implementing bureaucratic reform through integrity zones.
Resource person, Muhammad Ali Akbar delivered material regarding business process maps and integrity zones at UNESA.
This activity presenting the main resource person, namely Muhammad Ali Akbar, ST., MM., who explained about business process maps and integrity zones based on Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Regulation Number 19 of 2018 concerning Preparation of Business Process Maps for Government Agencies, and Minister of PAN-RB Regulation Number 35 of 2012 concerning Guidelines for Preparing Standard Operating Procedures for Government Administration.
According to him, business process maps are different from SOPs. A business process map is a picture, while an SOP apart from having a picture also has standard requirements, completeness, time and output. "In the management area, we are asked to present a map of our business processes and also the SOP. Apart from that, we are also asked to report the results of the SOP evaluation or report before and after," he said.
This activity is characterized by integrity pact signing session between university leaders and faculties as a form of joint commitment in realizing honest, clean, effective and responsible institutional governance.[]
