Unesa. ac.id., SURABAYA—The third episode of the Ngabuburit Bareng Genzi program in the month of Ramadan presents a topic that is eagerly awaited by young people on Thursday, March 28 2024. The topic in question is related to soul mates and singles which is discussed by two speakers; Qurrota Ayun Zakiyyati lecturer in Islamic Religious Education and Rojil Nugroho Bayu Aji, S.Hum., M.A., lecturer in history at UNESA.
Rojil Nugroho Bayu Aji said that currently many young people feel stressed because they have not yet have a partner. There are even those who consider being single as a disgrace in their friendship.
In fact, according to him, it is a normal thing. What you need to do is establish yourself so that you are compatible with your potential partner. Improving oneself is not only about making up, but also from various aspects, such as if men can achieve certain goals so that the results can later become an effort to attract a partner.
He reminded young people to Don't get caught up in a relationship, from the outside it seems beautiful, but actually it can also destroy you. Whatever the name of the relationship, it must be directed and not damage morals.
Qurrota Ayun Zakiyyati added that soul mate is a form of destiny that is an endeavor. In other words, to find a soul mate, effort needs to be made.
He likened a soul mate to someone being in a room with the lights off. If someone doesn't stand up or move to turn on the lamp then he will continue to be in darkness.
"Picking up a soul mate still requires paying attention to religious law," said the lecturer who teaches Islamic Religious Education courses in a number of study programs.
Signs and Preparation
There are several signs that can be seen that someone has the potential to be a soul mate. First, reflect on yourself with someone. If we want to get a partner who is good or pious or pious, are we good and pious.
Secondly, there is a feeling of peace, compatibility and pleasure in him, so that there is peace when forming a household with him. Third, there is the support or blessing of parents.
"What you need to remember, marriage does not only unite two people, but also unites two large families, therefore the blessing of parents is very important. Allah's pleasure lies in people's pleasure old," he said.
Ayun Zakiyyati advised not to get married because he was afraid of being asked by his family, afraid of being called single, or because of pressure from his parents. Intend to find a soul mate because you hope for Allah SWT's blessing.
When looking for a soul mate, there are several things you must pay attention to. First, about intention. The intention must be straight, because everything depends on the intention. If your intentions are good, then Allah will arrange a good path of endeavor that is in accordance with His provisions.
Secondly, muhasabah or self-introspection to improve in the future. Like maybe being emotional, still liking immorality and so on, that needs to be corrected. Self-improvement is part of the effort to bring about good things.
Third, apart from making efforts through the earthly path, you also need to take the celestial path by praying and asking for Allah's blessing to make all your endeavors easier and to find a partner who meets your commands. -His.
In relation to marriage, there are things that must be prepared. The main provision before marriage is knowledge as a light in navigating the household corridor which is sometimes straight, up and down. Knowledgeable captains know how to cross the ocean safely to their destination.
